So You Can Be More Aware!!!

Vehicle Burglary activity has been reported in various shopping center areas, (Trader Joe’s on Rosemead, Islands Restaurant and Sears, both on Foothill).  Taken were CD’s, IPod, cell phone, wallet, radio face plate, radio, car stereo, digital camera and $$$$.

Increased residential Vehicle Burglary activity has also been noted in the 200 blocks of S. Oak Knoll Avenue and S. El Molino Avenue.  The vehicles were burglarized in the underground parking structures of four different apartment buildings.  Items taken included GPS system, digital camera, purses, wallet, briefcase, etc.

We need to remember to remove our valuables from our vehicles before locking them, both at home and away.  Often, auto burglaries are crimes of opportunity where unsuspecting victims leave items out to be seen or “hide” them while the criminal is watching.

Please pass along this alert to your friends and neighbors, so they can also be safer!!

This is scary. Five guys posing as cops attempt a home invasion robbery.

From the Star-News: Five people posing as police officers attempted to rob a Pasadena home Thursday, but fled when the house’s occupants ran outside and began yelling, authorities said. The incident occurred about 11:50 a.m. in the 1400 block of Navarro Avenue, Pasadena Police Department spokeswoman Janet Pope Givens said.
